Fernand Deligny

As we interviewed her, Dr. Lina Michelkevičė cited the example of Fernand Deligny, a psychologist and theorist. He and other caretakers lived with mute autistic children in a type of camp, where they traced the children’s daily trajectories in the premise as a way to understand them and co-live. Lina suggested that the movement in space can also be a type of diagram, only that it doesn’t require words, pens, and paper. Could this embodied approach help to address issues of communication and consent in the representation practice?
