How it started

We began our collaboration after discovering significant overlap in our research topics. For example, while Noam was exploring how eels might perceive human sex, Sarah was investigating anthropocentric visualizations of shrimp reproduction. We share a critique of the exploitative, profit-driven relationships between humans and certain aquatic species, a theme we aim to explore in Show me Love, our inaugural joint project. There's a perverse human fascination with the intimate lives of other species, driven by normative motivations. Can we also consider the perspectives of eels and shrimp in our view of the world?
